The Boy Who Dared is a great book for anyone who even remotely likes history. It is a novel based on the story of a WW2 youth, who decides to stand up to the nazis. The story starts out and the boy is in jail. It is a tuesday. The executioner works on tuesdays. Then we travel back through a few of his earliest memories where his biggest dream is to become a soldier. Then we go on through his past, as Hitler is growing to power. He and his three brothers are all starting to see how wrong these things are. Then we come back to present, where the person in the cell next to  his is brought out to be executed. Then, we find out that his mother has married a nazi soldier, who utterly hates all of the brothers. Eventually, he gets so mean, he drives one of the brothers out of the house. Just before he leaves, however, he shows his illegal radio in a locked cabinet and makes him swear not to tell anyone. After he leaves, his younger brother picks the lock, gets out the radio, and tunes in on a british station. A foreign station. An illegal station. Every night, he gets it out and listens, and eventualy brings friends to listen with. What will happen? Will he get caught? READ THE BOOK!
